Description:
The Model 1694-02 AGC module independently monitors and maintains the level of two 15 kHz audio channels. At the cable headend, AGC prevents local commercial audio from being too loud or too soft relative to program audio or between channels, negating the need for a technician to constantly readjust levels and eliminating subscriber complaints about audio levels. At the studio, AGC provides precise audio level control throughout the production process.
The module installs in any unused channel slot of a Wegener mainframe and includes features found on expensive AGC systems, such as low-level gating, selectable release constants, locally settable AGC level, and selectable stereo/dual monaural use. |
