Description:
The Force, Incorporated Model 2823 Wavelength-division Multiplexer (WDM) allows a single fiber to be used to simultaneously transmit two optical signals of different wavelengths (colors). The WDM at the transmit end combines a 1310 nm signal and a 1550 nm signal for output onto a single fiber. The WDM at the receive end separates the two signals onto two output fibers with minimal crosstalk and low loss. There are two basic models; the Model 2823WC, which offers high levels of optical isolation and the Model 2823WD, which offers ultra high levels of optical isolation.
The WDM allows the user to configure most standard single-mode Force, Incorporated fiber optic data links or video links for bidirectional transmission on one fiber or allows two signals to be sent in the same direction on one fiber. |
