Part Number: Lumin DLT
Description:

The Lumin™ DLT Optical Transmitter is a high-performance 1310nm optical transmitter, designed for HFC forwardpath high-density-platform deployments. The module features unrivaled cost-performance benefits to enable fully segmented optical nodes economically (1:1 transmitter-to-node ratio). The compact “plug-and-play” design allows up to 15 transmitter modules in the Lumin™ DLC 3-RU fiber distribution chassis.
The Lumin™‘s DLT transmitter features broadband optical distortion compensation and performance monitoring that requires no customer tuning. For reliability, the transmitter incorporates average optical power feedback which monitors and actively adjusts the laser for constant optical power and optimum linearization over temperature and lifetime. The laser temperature is monitored and controlled for increased stability and reliability. The transmitter features a broadband 2nd order passive linearization circuit that consumes no power. The small size of the linearizer allows co-location of the laser and linearizer and even the 3rd order pre-distorter on a single temperature controlled thermal platform. The thermal platform also contains the impedance matching circuitry for coupling the laser to the 75 Ohm RF Amplifier. This provides increased stability of RF performance (high frequency roll-off of laser power over temperature), lower distortion and improved carrier-to-noise performance. The Lumin™ DLT transmitter has the industry’s most stable RF frequency response, CSO, CTB, CNR and output optical power characteristics.
