Controlware’s VIP-XD supports all Controlware MPEG-4 encoders. First time on the market, an MPEG-4 decoder supports both Video-BNC output as well as VGA displays.
The VIP XD features DVD like quality MPEG-4 video at up to 30 images per second over IP networks. It supports PAL or NTSC (CCIR or EIA) sources. The video connections can be established automatically by the encoder or with the video management system VIDOS.
The VIP XD can be set up to display video in single-view or quadview mode. It is capable of decoding up to 4 video streams at the same time. The viewing mode can be controlled remotely by a management system like VIDOS. The VIP XD can alternatively drive a VGA display directly, and thus is ideally suited for applications like flat-screen monitor walls.
