Standard Communications’ Lumin family of optical products now includes Lumin Lite, a compact 1 RU chassis with 3 slots to accept proven Lumin transmitters, receivers, and future modules including RF switches/amplifier. While the DLL chassis is dense and costeffective enough for a single function such as a transmitter module or receiver module, the chassis affords the flexibility to add Lumin modules in unused slots by simply sliding them in.
The simplest application might be a Lumin Lite chassis with a transmitter in the headend and a second Lumin Lite chassis with a receiver in the hub. You can fill the second slot in the Lumin Lite at the hub with a transmitter and at the headend with a receiver for two-way communications. A Lumin Lite chassis in the hub may be filled with two receivers and an RF switch to manage redundancy in a north-south fiber loop. The Lumin Lite can be mounted with a single transmitter or receiver today and up to three transmitters and/or receivers as needed. |
