The RX1290 is a professional receiver and the world’s first professional multi-format MPEG-2/MPEG-4 AVC decoder. The RX1290 is designed for the high-end Contribution market where premium quality and performance is paramount. Capable of processing and decoding more video formats than any other receiver on the market, the RX1290 is designed around the most powerful processing technology available today pushing the boundaries of what has previously been possible in a compact 1RU chassis.
The RX1290 comes with an ASI transport stream interface as standard. Optionally, the receiver can be fitted with an integrated, high performance DVB-S2 demodulator. The DVB-S2 satellite transmission standard further optimizes the transmission by offering up to a 30% reduction in required satellite transponder bandwidth.
Being capable of decoding both MPEG-2 and AVC, the RX1290 is the ultimate receive device to enable the migration from today’s Standard Definition broadcast environment to tomorrow’s High Definition capable networks. Being built on a powerful and flexible platform, the RX1290 will be able to have additional features added as needs grow, protecting the financial investment in the unit. |
