The DM 6400-IPTV serves the needs of operators from their super headend to the video hub at the network edge.
The DM 6400-IPTV features a unified architecture that handles both MPEG-4/AVC and MPEG-2 SD and HD content seamlessly, so operators who need to source and transport content in multiple formats needn’t worry about their co-existence in the network. Programs can also be formatted for IP multicast to the home or for HFC networks that require a QAM-ready multiplex.
Terayon pioneered digital ad insertion in the MPEG-2 domain. Now Terayon delivers the industry’s first platform that supports MPEG-4/AVC with standards-based digital program insertion.
The DM 6400-IPTV includes 2 Gigabit Ethernet I/O cards with content aggregation capabilities that provide high network efficiency and robust transport. In addition, it can ingest ASI streams of up to 200 Mbps per input and convert to Gigabit Ethernet, and vice a versa, for easy integration with legacy content sources.
A simple browser-based point and click graphical user interface and the entire distributed network of DM 6400s can be remotely configured and controlled from a centralized management console. Third-party SNMP applications can be used to seamlessly configure, manage and monitor DM 6400s in a network.
Using sophisticated stream monitoring and program input redundancy, the DM 6400-IPTV can automatically switch to a backup program or trouble slate in the event that an input source fails. |
