Description:
The IRP-3900 is a versatile platform specifically designed to address the transition from analog to digital broadcast television. The unit has several configurations to allow cable operators to receive, process, multiplex, decode and perform HD down conversion of the off air ATSC digital broadcasts.
It is a ATSC multi channel video and audio processing device. It supports a variety of front end input interfaces such as 8VSB, ASI & IP. The device performs HD down conversion and aspect ratio adaptation of multiple off air broadcast programs to generate professional quality baseband analog video and audio outputs for easy integration with existing network infrastructure.
In addition to the analog outputs, the platform features ASI & IP outputs with strong multiplexing capabilities that allow grooming of multiple HD & SD programs for distribution through QAM modulators on the digital tier. This all-in-one architecture eliminates the need for an external multiplexing device saving overall system costs and complexity. |
