Description:
The analog video integrator provides field-accurate, deterministic switching for standard composite NTSC signals. In addition, this router can be used to switch both STD and HDTV component analog signals. The bandwidth provided in this router (70 MHz) also allows it to be used to switch many telco-related signal formats such as DS3 (45 Mb/s) and E3 (34 Mb/s) signals. Coaxial AES signals can also be routed using this router, although a dedicated AES router is more cost effective and preferable due to the asynchronous nature of AES switching.
Inputs and Outputs
The analog video input module provides input equalization for 32 inputs. After equalization, the input module drives each signal into crosspoint sub-modules plugged-in as daughter cards on the input card. Each crosspoint sub-module provides a 32x32 crosspoint array for switching all 32 inputs on the card to up to 32 outputs. Two 32x32 crosspoint modules can be plugged onto each input module for a total of 32x64 on each input card.
The analog video output module drives 32 outputs. An optional output monitoring sub-module may be plugged onto the output modules to provide the user with a monitoring output for all 64 outputs in a frame.
Each input and output module provides 2 LEDs. One green LED indicates power supplied by the on-board DC-DC converter is operational. Another yellow LED is used to indicate that a crosspoint on that board is active. |
